The Department of War Close Combat Lethality Task Force (CCLTF)

The Department of War Close Combat Lethality Task Force (CCLTF) develops, evaluates, recommends, and monitors the implementation of comprehensive DOTMLPF-P solutions to enhance the lethality, resiliency, and combat effectiveness of joint U.S. squad-level close combat formations, ensuring overmatch against pacing threats. With oversite from the OSW Personal and Readiness and reporting directly to a tri-service, 3-star board of directors, the CCLTF is uniquely positioned to advocate for service and DoW modernization and investment into critical close combat capabilities. COL Ryan Wylie currently serves as the CCLTF Director. He is a career U.S. Army Infantry officer with experience in combat and training formations, from the platoon to the Division level, to include commanding a battalion in the 101st Airborne Division and the brigade responsible for Infantry basic training. His most recent assignment was the Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army Maneuver Center of Excellence and Fort Benning, GA.
